What Happens
The Great Lakes Avengers make their debut taking out some bank robbers and gain national exposure when they're interviewed by some reporters. Hawkeye catches this on TV and he and Mockingbird go to Milwaukee to investigate this new team. They go to the Germania Building and put out a false APB as well as an arrow flare show. This lures the Great Lakes Avengers into checking out the supposed disturbance. Mr. Immortal ends up encountering Hawkeye and Mockingbird by himself at the top of the building. But, he doesn't believe that they're the real heroes. So (in true superhero fashion), they end up fighting and, during the fight, Mr. Immortal jumps off the building to his death. Mockingbird quickly follows him down to see if he survived. And, when the rest of the Great Lakes Avengers see her concern for their fallen leader, they make peace and invite Hawkeye and Mockingbird back to their "Headquarters." After Mr. Immortal comes to and Hawkeye and Mockingbird get to know more about the GLA, Hawkeye offers to make the team into a team worthy of the Avengers name.
