After looking at hundreds of comic book covers, it becomes quickly apparent that not every cover is 100% original. Whether done intentionally or even underhandedly, there’s something about uncovering these “swipes” that adds a new element of fun to reading and collecting comics.<\/font><\/p>\n

Alan Moore made his return to the comics field in a big way when he started America’s Best Comics<\/strong> (a bold company name … especially coming from the UK). The top three titles from this line were Top 10<\/em>, Promethea <\/em>and Tom Strong<\/em>. Tom Strong <\/em>allowed Alan Moore <\/strong>to explore different times and worlds, creating stories that gave a nod to the golden age of comics.<\/p>\n
