After looking at hundreds of comic book covers, it becomes quickly apparent that not every cover is 100% original. Whether done intentionally or even underhandedly, there’s something about uncovering these “swipes” that adds a new element of fun to reading and collecting comics.<\/font><\/p>\n

Stephen King’s Dark Tower <\/em>series of novels has an enormous following, so it was with much excitement that Marvel Comics <\/strong>acquired the license to publish comics based upon the books. The writing chores for the series were confidently handed over to Peter David<\/strong>. And, a year and half later, when IDW <\/strong>published a comic series based on David’s Sir Apropos of Nothing <\/em>series, it seemed only fitting that the cover pay homage to the cover of the first Dark Tower <\/em>comic.<\/p>\n
