Each Saturday, <a href=\"http:\/\/donny-b.deviantart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Donny B<\/a> will be showcasing various offerings from Art Asylum&#8217;s take on the &#8216;block figure&#8217;, with a weekly spotlight on <em><strong>Minimates<\/strong><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Well, the <strong>Thor<\/strong> movie is out and rocking the box office. I think that garners one last look at the Thor Moviemates, don&#8217;t you? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve spent a few weeks looking at various Minimate offerings based on the film&#8217;s portrayal of the main characters,\u00a0which Art Asylum took great care in producing.\u00a0It was tough narrowing down which figures to do features on, since just about all of them were extremely well made.<br \/>\nIn the end, I decided to showcase the most prominently fantastic looking releases (leaving out <em>Civilian Thor<\/em>, <em>Jane Foster<\/em>, and <em>Agent Coulson<\/em>, among others) &#8230; and so, to wrap up\u00a0our\u00a04 week-long spotlight on the\u00a0Thor Moviemates, here is none other than Sir Anthony Hopkins&#8217; portrayal of Thor&#8217;s super powerful daddy: <em>Odin<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #404040\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/cyberspacecomics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Minimates_2011_05-14.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2496\" src=\"http:\/\/cyberspacecomics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Minimates_2011_05-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cyberspacecomics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Minimates_2011_05-14.jpg 600w, https:\/\/cyberspacecomics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Minimates_2011_05-14-300x243.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #404040\"><strong>Behind the Image:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s my first Thor Moviemate image\u00a0that isn&#8217;t a straight-forward-photograph. I actually tried doing this as a non-photoshopped project, but I couldn&#8217;t get it to work right. So in the end, I placed Odin on a sheet of yellow construction paper, took a pic, and then superimposed it onto the background image, which I pulled off the internet.
