However, you might be interested in knowing <em>what <\/em>they were reading. Here&#8217;s a look at &#8220;Famous Fanmail&#8221;!<\/font><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gary Groth <\/strong>founded <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fantagraphics.com\/\">Fantagraphics<\/a> in 1976, a comics publisher well-known for their alternative publications and their comic news magazine, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tcj.com\/\">the Comics Journal<\/a> (featuring significant contributions by Groth, himself).
