After looking at hundreds of comic book covers, it becomes quickly apparent that not every cover is 100% original. Whether done intentionally or even underhandedly, there’s something about uncovering these “swipes” that adds a new element of fun to reading and collecting comics.<\/font><\/p>\n

Todd McFarlane<\/strong>‘s adjectiveless Spider-Man <\/em>title was an enormously successful title. Todd left the title with a “bang!” by teaming Spidey up with another then-hot Marvel property, X-Force<\/em>, against the unstoppable Juggernaut<\/strong>. Greg Hyland’s Lethargic Comics <\/em>swiped a different well-known comics cover every month, and with issue #9, he spoofed McFarlane’s final Spider-Man <\/em>issue.<\/p>\n
