I started selling comics full-time in 2010 and wanted to track my progress against the online back issue markets. Here’s a look at the current comics aftermarket and my progress in achieving my goal of becoming a prominent back issue dealer.

eBay’s quantity of comic listings continues to climb to new heights – the 4M mark is getting very close! Our numbers are up this month because we’ve upgraded to eBay’s “enterprise” store plan that was introduced this month. We’re taking that opportunity to list a lot of low grade books that we don’t normally put in our eBay store.
Atomic Avenue‘s number of available unique issues took a small dip this month but I suspect their numbers will cross the 1.5M mark again soon.
Comic Collector Live has suffered a big loss in storefronts – down over 15% in the past year.
Amazon‘s collectibles marketplace is not reporting accurately still. They show 50,000 listings in the marketplace – I have over 100,000 listings so I know their reported numbers are inaccurate.
HipComic‘s marketplace had 10% drop this month but they’re up over 90% in the past year.
Bonanza‘s number of listings has leveled out after last month’s strong gains.
