I started selling comics full-time in 2010 and wanted to track my progress against the online back issue markets. Here’s a look at the current comics aftermarket and my progress in achieving my goal of becoming a prominent back issue dealer.

eBay‘s number of listings sold over the past 90 days has increased by more than 10% in the past month. This is an incredible leap in sales. I’ve seen a lot of sellers complaining about slow sales over the summer but it appears that eBay has managed to bring buyers back to their marketplace.
Atomic Avenue: This marketplace now boasts a selection of over a quarter million different comics. That’s pretty impressive! This is a marketplace that flies under the radar. I’m thrilled to see that out of the quarter million comics available on this marketplace, over half of them are available from my store.
Comic Collector Live: This marketplace lost more than 10% of their sellers in the past year and lost nearly one third over the past five years.
HipComic: This marketplace has regained some of the ground lost last month and increased their number of listings by over 10% in the past month. They also had a strong increase in the number of sellers over the past month.
