I started selling comics full-time in 2010 and wanted to track my progress against the online back issue markets. Here’s a look at the current comics aftermarket and my progress in achieving my goal of becoming a prominent back issue dealer.

eBay‘s number of listings recently passed 11 million and they’re continuing their climb to hit 12 million.
Atomic Avenue: This marketplace recently hit an all-new high number of unique comic books but they’re experiencing a slight decline this month. Their selection of unique books still remains above one quarter million!
Comic Collector Live: This marketplace lost more than 1/3 of their sellers in the past five years. In the same time-frame, their number of listings declined by 10%. A very small number of sellers keep this marketplace going.
HipComic: This marketplace increased now has over 1.5 million listings. Their percentage growth of listings in the last five years sharply outpaces eBay’s.
YouSellComics: This is a marketplace that has caught my eye so we’ve added our inventory to their marketplace. This has caused their number of listings to see an over 7,000% increase from last year.
